App-based DBT, a type of cognitive behavioral therapy aimed to teach and engage its concepts to reduce suicidal and other self- destructive behaviors.

 

Status Quo

According to the CDC, the total suicide rate has increased 24% from 10.5 to 13.0 per 100,000. The suicide rate among males approximately 4 times higher (20.7) than among females (5.8 per 100,000). This app- based cognitive therapy will helps with emotional regulation and mindful awareness to avoid undesired reactions and track improvement.

 

Competition

Currently, approximately 650,000 people yearly receive emergency treatment after attempting suicide in the US. The suicide also has economic costs for individuals, families, and the nation as a whole. These include medical costs for individuals, lost income and productivity for individual.  DBT is a gold standard treatment which can be delivered in group or individual, but it is less available. DBT app is cost-effective preventive strategies to reduce healthcare cost and save life’s.

 

Solution

I Coach DBT is the most evidence-based therapy which will be created by renounced Psychiatrist for dysfunctional emotional regulation, like PSTD, suicidal ideation, and substance abuse. The app will target the skillset like mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation. This app will address the treatment gap and improve access.
