Status Quo

Malocclusion or bad bite prevalence is increasing year after year. Currently, 70% of the population—that’s over 225 million—in the US could benefit from orthodontic treatment, but only 4 million people are actually undergoing orthodontic treatment right now.

 

Competition

Many customers are seeking orthodontic treatment, primarily choosing Invisalign and other clear aligner companies over braces. Our primary competition is Invisalign, but currently no tooth movement app tracker has been developed by this company. Most clear aligner apps keep track of your aligner wear time and take photos of your teeth to see if you qualify for clear aligners.

 

Solution

Our tooth movement app tracker cuts down dental visits by monitoring the rate of tooth movement so we can customize the app specifically to the patient’s case. Our app connects both the patient and the dentist, so dentists can see how fast the patient’s teeth are moving and adjust accordingly.

 

Revenue Model

Our app is free to download with a basic package where the patient can take a picture of their teeth to see if they qualify for orthodontic treatment. When the patient signs up, we will ask for their consent to take data, which will later be used to better our app. Once the patient is qualified for orthodontic treatment, there will be a network of orthodontists and dentists in their location. After consultation with multiple dental practitioners, the patient can choose a dental practitioner for orthodontic treatment and upgrade for free for the premium package. Our app tracks tooth movement, but has other features like keeping track of aligner wear times as well as patient satisfaction during the orthodontic process, which is also connected to their dental provider. That dental practitioner will pay a referral fee for obtaining the patient’s case. From the dental practitioner point of view, they can download the app for free to join the network of dental practitioners and get free advertising and marketing for their dental practice for patients in their area. They can also pay for personal ad banners for patients in their location when the patients are using the app. Once the patient chooses the dental practitioner, the dental practitioner and the patient will both have access to the tooth movement tracker features. The dental practitioner can use any orthodontic system like braces, Invisalign, or other clear aligner companies along with our tooth movement app tracker, but they would have to pay a subscription fee of $5/month per patient. If the dental practitioner chooses to use our clear aligner system, SymTray, the tooth movement app tracker will be free of charge. Also, braces, Invisalign, and other clear aligner companies can pay a fee and put ad banners on our app as well.
