Curtain Call is a concert discovery platform where users can explore NYC’s best hidden talent for less. It’s the HotelTonight for concerts!
Status Quo
50% of concert tickets go unsold— leaving a huge opportunity for venues, artists, and fans. Fans are frustrated with the ticket buying experience due to high prices, so they find it difficult to use live music to discover artists. Venues and artists need a reliable solution to promote undersold events.
Competition
Users that want to purchase tickets below face value have few options: they can constantly check for price fluctuations from resale websites like StubHub and SeatGeek (better choice of events, higher prices and no guaranteed discount), or check websites like Groupon and Gilt City (very little selection, cheaper prices). We offer an advantage by scouring dozens of resale websites in addition to creating partnerships with venues to maximize inventory and revenue.
Solution
Curtain Call is the only concert discovery platform that offers exclusively discounted tickets. Combining data aggregation technology with venue partnerships, we can offer users the best access to cheaper concert tickets so they can explore the best of NYC’s hidden talent for less.
Revenue Model
Curtain Call earns a commission of 7-50% from every ticket sold via affiliate links from the ticket aggregator, depending on the resale website we get them from. From venue partnerships, Curtain Call takes a 20% cut off the top for each ticket we sell. Since we are never actually buying tickets, our money is never tied up in inventory.
