High Concept Statement

Brings physical books to life through augmented reality (like a digital pop-up book!) while encouraging parents and children to read together

Status Quo

  1. Children tend to prefer video games/apps over reading for enjoyment
    2. Parents stop reading with their children too early (around ages 5-8), but children benefit from shared reading time until adolescence

Competition

There are a few AR children’s books currently in-market, however the AR is primarily being used as a ‘gimmick,’  not for instructional/educational purposes

Solution

By adding an immersive digital layer to physical books, we think we can reinvigorate the parent-child reading experience. And by covering topics that are informative to both parents and children, we can engage parents and keep them reading with their children until early adolescence.

Revenue Model

Initial revenue will be based on book sales, however we will explore different revenue streams over time, such as Amazon affiliate links for recommended children’s books, as well as a subscription model for newly released books, as well as personalized AR books designed by parents & children
