Trivago for grocery shopping

 

Status Quo

For a regular shopping list of groceries, there is no easy way to compare prices of the same products (e.g. milk, eggs, grapes, cheese) in a given location except for a lot manual work of obtaining and checking supermarket fliers or newspaper ads.   My app would allow the user to determine for a list of items, the best place or places to shop. Users also would post real time information of merchandise deals not listed in shop fliers and newspaper ads.

 

Competition

There is no app to check a shopping list of items for price comparisons to make recommendations for shopping venues.

 

Solution

The shalter app allows the use to check multiple items on a shopping list.   This type of function doesn’t currently exist

 

Revenue Model

Freemium model.  Start with a limited free version with add ons which are charged a fee.
